Visit Ariiua Garden Paradise

Visit the Eden Parc

 

A botanic park that manages a tropical collection of all the fruit trees on the planet, the visit is gastronomic as well as ethno botanical, you can taste the parks own exotic tropical specialities. An idyllic 9-hectare valley rising up to the entire centre of the island.

Tour of the island

 

A tour of the island taking you through Huahine Nui the administrative centre of Fare, it is a pleasant harbour and peaceful village situated at the foot of Mount Turi. You are then taken through the northern part of the island where the airport is situated at the edge of lake Fauna Nui that has on opposite shore the archaeological site of Maeva. The tour continues towards the village of Faie famous for its sacred "blue-eyed" eels, the road then forks inland, across slopes of mount trui, towards Belvedere lookout point that offers a view of the bay of Maroe. Eden Parc farm is the next the stop which is followed by Bourayne to the west of the island. A stop at Maroe allows another breathtaking view of Huahine Nui this proceeds a visit to “Arriua Garden Paradise” a garden of Polynesian medical plants. Last stop is Tefarerii where you can rest and on the white sands and sit along the prefect lagoon.

Water sports

 

Visitors can enjoy boat excursions, picnics on the beach and visits to pearl farms due to the naturally large bays of Motu. Visitors can Scuba or Tuba dive in the lagoons and the rocky underwater reef walls and underwater caverns full of tropical sea life.

The number one Polynesian traditional sport

 

Each year in October Huahine is the departure point of the greatest traditional canoe race in the South Pacific, the Hawaiki Nui Va'a.
