VANILLA PLANTATION
Among the typical products to be found in Tahiti, do not forget some of the best vanilla in the world. The islands of Tahaa and Huahine produce almost all the local vanilla found in Papeete's central market and grocery stores around the island. The beans are very rich in oil, and are larger and shinier than those of other varieties.
